TCM Remembers 2025

TCM Remembers is an annual “tribute to those we’ve lost” in the world of cinema. Although it is mostly focused on Hollywood, it does a better job compared to the Oscars In Memoriam because that one always end up excluding or not giving enough time to some of the filmmakers we lost.

There have been too favourites who died this year - David Lynch, Val Kilmer, Robert Redford, Diane Keaton, Udo Kier, and more that I did not get a chance to write about. Gene Hackman’s death which was shocking news at the time, when he and his wife were found dead in their home, and the most recent death of Rob Reiner, who was murdered with his wife by their son, which was very upsetting to read.
