Photos From Night School 2026 Film Programme: Constant Adjustment
Below are from the film program I curated for the 4th edition of Night School at Jameel Arts Centre.
For the previous two editions, I had to rely on myself and friends to take photos. This year I decided to hire a fellow artist, Martin One Yambao to document the night. Since most art institutions in Dubai don’t do a good job when it comes to documenting their events, I strongly recommend independent artists/curators do this for their events if it can be afforded. It’s also a way to support other artists.
Night School 2026, Pardon Our Progress: Constant Adjustment
Film Programme by Hind Mezaina
This year’s five short films explore how neighbourhoods and other places endure over time. Change comes by way of property markets, political erasure, and the whim of human interest. What’s gone, what’s remembered, what will be?
