Eid Al Fitr and Nowruz 2026
This year, Eid Al Fitr and Nowruz are on the same day, March 20.
One celebrates the end of Ramadan, the other celebrates the first day of spring.
In Dubai, the day started and ended with loud bangs of intercepted missiles.
In between, my day was spent with my family and feelings of joy and comfort despite the stress.
Eid Mubarak and may this damn war and its destructive effects on people’s lives and economy end soon.
I went for a short walk with my nephew and these colourful. I looked up and was happy to see an Emirates aircraft. And on the ground level, these lovely flowers.
Both gave me a small sense of hope.
