I like this new song by Carly Rae Jepsen and the music video directed by the playwright and actor Jeremy O. Harris, starring Alden Ehrenreich. I last saw Ehrenreich in Weapons, and happy to see him here. I love the homage to the last scene in Claire Denis’ Beau Travail.

There’s also another version of the video — which Harris calls the “late-night cut,” that he says will be released at some point. It’s sultrier. “When you see her with that red hair, it’s Jessica Rabbit–y or something, especially with the red dress,” Harris says. “I was like, Let’s lean into that.”
