Philips Livable Cities #pinyourcity Contest

Earlier this month, I followed via livestream part of Blogging in the City festival which was held in Amsterdam. The festival brings together a selection of Europe’s finest city bloggers to "share their ideas and inspiration live on stage".

The aim of the event is to discuss the the latest developments and trends in the cityscape, and to envision the role of the blogger and online media in the city of the future.

I was interested to hear what bloggers from other cities had to say about their role in their cities and would love it if we had a similar event here.

At the end of the conference, a competition called Liveable Cities #pinyourcity Contest was announced by Philips. The competition asks you what makes your city livable and lovable and to share you images on Pinterest.

We believe that a great city shouldn't just be livable, it should be lovable too. All cities have a variety of ingredients that make them unique, but what made you fall in love with your city?

The Philips Livable Cities #pinyourcity Contest is searching for the most creative Pinterest board that tells us why your city is both livable and lovable.

A panel of city experts will be judging the contest and the winning entries will be determined by the #pinyourcity boards which are the most imaginative, original and inspiring.

I quite like this idea for a competition. If you are interested, do take part. The competition ends on 16th November.  Details on how to take part can be found here.
