Die Antwoord
I am intrigued by this band from Cape Town. I've been listening to their music for the past few days and reading about them.
I am not very familiar with Cape Town street/gang culture, so I'm not entirely sure if the members of Die Antwoord are a bunch of ghetto freaks or ghetto freaks wannabes.
Are they being ironic with their gang rave/rap/hip hop tunes or actually have serious messages. I do find them funny, but not sure if it is for the right reasons.
With their un-PC and R rated lyrics, there's a risk you feel filthy after listening to them, or you just want to wash their mouth with soap - or just enjoy it.
But they use the word 'interweb' in their songs, so for that, I like them.
