The Fridge Concert Series featuring Kyle Kamal Helou and the Shakuhachi flute

This Monday, 1st Feb, The Fridge will host a Japanese themed evening dedictaed to the Shakuhachi flute played by Kyle Kamal Helou. The shakuhachi flute is a Japanese instrument that has accompanied meditations and prayers since the dawn of the nation.
Kyle Kamal Helow, born in Lebanon in 1973 began his studies of Japanese traditional arts in the United States of America in 1997, and in 2001 moved to Japan and began full time Karate and Shakuhachi studies.
Today he lives in Tokyo (The Culturist is very jealous) and travels regularly to Middle East, Europe, Africa and the Americas to conduct Karate Seminars and Shakuhachi performances and seminars. Kyle Kama Helow's MySpace site.
