Caballitos de totora ancient-style surfboards

Caballitos de totora are watercrafts made of a natural plant called Totora used by Peruvian fishermen for the past 3000 years. Still used today, the fishermen use them to transport their nets, collect fish in their inner cavity and ride the waves back into shore. Could this have been the first form of surfing?

In this video, Sofia Mulanovich together with world-class surfer Sally Fitzgobbons and junior Nadja de Col exchanged their boards to test the surfing quality of these Peruvian boats.

I want one.
